Surgical masks will not protect you from catching the virus.

N95 respiratory masks (or similar) is only effective in limiting becoming infected if you have been fit tested to see if the mask fits your face properly.

Most effective means of preventing spreading and getting infected is to wash your hands and not touch your face.
